Recovery in the woods is a faith based organization that offers a free 21 day drug/ alcohol retreat camping on Priest Lake in Idaho. We focus on building and teaching the tools needed to regain sobriety and mend wounded souls. We are non-religious but share the love Christ Jesus has given us.
My Story
Hi, my name is John. I'm the Founder and Director of the Hiowatha Foundation. This all started when someone I knew wanted to get into a program but had nowhere to seek therapy with a support animal. A plan came together to provide the support needed, and where support animals are accepted. I myself, was an addict so I know and understand the struggles. Life is so much better and fulfilling on the other side. Let us help support you in your recovery.
